In addition to jewelry making, I like to quilt, sew, knit, crochet and do just about any kind of craft. My children are now grown and the daughter that started this whole addiction is working in New York as a costume designer. I guess that some of the crafting that we did together when she was a child had some influence.
I think that my jewelry making has evolved from the early stages of buying Czech glass beads a few at a time and putting them together with some crystals. As I continued to make jewelry I continue to learn and that has always been part of the joy. During this journey I have discovered lamp work beads, Venetian glass beads, Bali silver, Swarovski crystal, African beads, and a host of natural stones and I continually enjoy finding new websites with beads. I still have a preference for natural stones and African beads. It is hard for me to say no to a beautiful stone. I enjoy working with Artisan beads and I am trying to branch out into using more metal, leather, cording, fibers and chain.
My husband and I love to golf, garden and travel and most importantly spend time with our family. I am a most fortunate person.
