Today is the big reveal for the fun event sponsored by Tracy Statler of Make Bracelets Blog. With the hippest look this season being wrap bracelets, stacked bracelets and bangles I decided to join in on the fun. The rules were to have made at least one-two bracelets in the arrangement. Since my daughter and I love this look and have been stacking bracelets for awhile we put together several looks to share with you today.
"Bohemian Chic" - all of this group except for the wooden bangle was made by me. Bracelets from top down: 1. multi strand seed bead and cotton cording bracelet inspired by Erin Siegel; 2. a nautical knotted cotton cord bracelet; 3. a beaded bracelet using large turquoise, 4. natural stones and sterling silver; 5. leather and howalite wrap bracelet; 6. a purchased wooden bangle.
Lastly, "Eclectic Au Courant" is a fancy name my daughter Baille came up with. This mix includes a 1. hand forged copper cuff made by my daughter Baille in her first jewelry class at Savannah College of Art and Design, 2. her favorite nautical cotton bracelet purchased many years ago that needs a good washing but she won't let me because she likes the character it has this way, 3. a handmade multi strand bracelet using wooden beads, leather and chain; 4. a purchased wooden bangle; 5. a tortoise Michael Kors watch.
Credits for all these pictures go to my daughter, Baille. She also is the lovely arm model in these photos (you really don't want to see my arm in these pics).
This was a collaborative effort between Baille and me. We had so much fun putting these together. I hope that there are other arm parties in the future. Thanks to Stacy for putting this together.
Here's the link to the other blogs that are participating. Take a look and enjoy.
Hi Linda,
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed viewing all of your different wraps, stacks, and layers of arm candy. They are all very pretty and creative. I really like the one inspired by Erin.

I really like the chunky fibers you included with the other elements. And thanks for reminding me about layered necklaces-- I've been doing those for a while and now I know why this challenge attracted me. Lovely work.
ReplyDeletegreat job, linda!! you are so talented!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun arm party you had! That is a lot of beady goodness. And your model is perfect! Enjoy the day. Erin
ReplyDeleteFun that your daughter and you worked on this together!! What a lovely arm model!!! Your pieces are all so beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteNice work! Your daughter is a great model. Hard to pick a favorite. I love the fiesta colors. Love the watch mixed in with the browns. Only the second watch I've seen. Thanks so much for playing along Linda!

Very cool! I have yet to master the art of layering anything!
ReplyDeleteLove the colors in that top photo. They look great stacked!
ReplyDeleteAll of those are beautiful. I am a sucker for turquoise and wood tones, though. I just love that stack!
ReplyDeleteLinda, I sure enjoyed my visit to your blog! That is really neat that you and your daughter Baille could enjoy this collaboration together - like Mother like Daughter (we....not in my case, my mother doesn't care for handmade jewelry!)! I think my favorite collection would be the Bohemian Chic - just love all of the styles and colors you used, especially the multi-strand seed bead bracelet. I'd wear this set in a heart beat! :-)
ReplyDeleteLinda, you had me at Bohemian Chic! Beautiful bracelets!
ReplyDeleteGreat bracelets Linda. Bold and beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteI often wear things in a stack...to fill the wrist and make a colourful hand with a boring casual T...lovely this idea!!!Gold Charm Bracelet
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bracelet stacks! I love all the bright colors in the second stack! Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteLovely stacks!! I love the textures and colors of all of these, but I do think that the second group is my favorite - simply because of the fun colors!
ReplyDeleteI love that you included a watch in your stacks. Why should the left arm be left out of all the fun? :) I haven't worn a watch in years, but when I did I preferred the chunky men's watches.
ReplyDeleteLove the Bohemian chic design!! I'm a sucker for turquoise :) xoxo Beth
ReplyDeleteAll of your bracelet stacks are stunning. I'm particularly drawn to the first one, but all of them are just FAB! They are a great collaboration between you and your daughter.
